There’s really nothing like sour grapes from a game that was played almost five months ago. That’s exactly what we have on our hands here as veteran Eagles DT Brandon Graham is just having a hard time coping with his team’s loss to KC this past February. The 35-year-old defensive tackle was recently a guest on Sports Take with Rob Ellis and Derrick Gunn and talked about losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Listen carefully, is Graham insinuating that Mahomes faked his ankle injury during the game? And, better yet, why is he calling Mahomes “what’s his name? Is this another Ja’Marr Chase “Mahomes who?” situation?
“WHEN THE FIRST HALF CAME [TO AN END], WE WERE IN THERE AND I WAS MORE THINKING LIKE, ‘WHAT’S HIS NAME (MAHOMES) WENT IN THERE ON THE SIDELINE AND HE’S LOOKING LIKE HE’S HURT,” HE RECALLED. “WE’VE GOT TO GET TO HIM, WE’VE GOT TO GET TO HIM.’ HE CAME OUT, YOU CAN TELL HOW TOUGH HE IS, MAN, BUT THAT BOY ACTED GOOD. HE SURE PUT THAT FACE UP [LIKE HE WAS HURT].”
