This could be the break that minority coaching candidates have needed to get a fair shot in the interview process. Brian Flores went scorched Earth on the NFL, Dolphins, Giants & Broncos!
Brian Flores’ lawsuit against the NFL
Brian Flores lawsuit says Dolphins owner Steven Ross pressured him to pursue a prominent QB (not named, but not hard to figure out) in 2019 then invited him to a yacht for lunch in winter 2020 where “prominent QB” showed up for impromptu meeting. Flores stormed out, per lawsuit.

Former #Dolphins HC Brian Flores is suing the NFL and the Giants alleging racism in their hiring process. Flores has texts from Bill Belichick congratulating him for getting the job — but Flores had yet to interview. The text was meant for Brian Daboll. https://t.co/gmPUw9gHIq pic.twitter.com/tyTztTf3br

The most telling part of this lawsuit is Bill Belichick apparently telling Brian Flores, mistakenly, the Giants have agreed hired Brian Daboll before Brian Flores even had his interview.

Black coaches complain all the time about sham interviews for Rooney Rule. Evidence below. pic.twitter.com/c4KK3hyB2M
Flores cont, "…and has done so much for my family and me. My sincere hope is that by standing up against systemic racism in the NFL, others will join me to ensure that positive change is made for generations to come."

Brian Flores also takes aim at Broncos in lawsuit saying in his 2019 interview they showed up an hour late, “completely disheveled,” and “it was obvious that they had been drinking heavily the night before.”

Flores believed he was only interviewed to fulfill the Rooney Rule. pic.twitter.com/6qqPjEba0A
Brian Flores just went fire and brimstone on the NFL in a racial discrimination lawsuit, saying:
— Tim Baysinger (@tim_bays) February 1, 2022
– Dolphins owner paid him $100,000 for every loss during his first year (bc Ross wanted the first pick)
– John Elway and Broncos president showed up hungover to his interview
Flores' suit includes texts from Bill Belichick that appear to show him congratulating him on getting the Giants job, mistakenly believing he was texting Brian Daboll. This was before Flores' interview with the Giants took place.

Brian Flores' class action lawsuit against the NFL – he is being represented by the same firm that represented Harvey Weinstein victims and former Fox News employees in their discrimination cases https://t.co/1EqJ7qDA4A pic.twitter.com/jrSjm12XHT

I used to work for @nflnetwork. Let me tell you something that is almost certainly true in the wake of this Flores lawsuit: Assholes are puckered so tightly in that office–& in the league office–that higher-ups will barely be able to function. Watch how timidly they cover this.

Allegations of racism, tanking, tampering, drinking and more by those in powerful positions in NFL organization from Brian Flores in this lawsuit. Several wow moments throughout this filing. https://t.co/w5mzAn82ux
