Garth Brooks brought his “Stadium Tour” to Kansas City’s GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night, a show that sold out within a few hours back in June. The show was a resounding success despite media outcries for masks, cancelations, etc.

The two-hour set, which was enjoyed by 70,000 people, was a reminder that we must continue to live our lives despite the presence of COVID-19. Brooks was overwhelmed by the crowd’s boisterous reaction and mentioned how “intimidating” it must be for opposing teams to play the Chiefs at this venue.

At one point during the evening, one of Garth Brooks’ staff members was introduced as being from Kansas and a die-hard Chiefs fan. This led to an outbreak of the infamous “tomahawk chop” made famous by Chiefs fans over the past 30-plus years.

While headdresses and Native American attire have been banned from Arrowhead, the chop is still in place as of now although many are calling for it to be removed entirely.
