WATCH: Richard Sherman blames Patrick Mahomes for Lamar Jackson contract situation

Currently, the Ravens and Lamar Jackson are still at quite an impasse when it comes to a new contract. Jackson wants fully guaranteed money much like DeShaun Watson has received and The Ravens are hesitant to do this for obvious reasons. Former NFL CB Richard Sherman talked about this topic on his podcast recently with legendary WR Calvin Johnson.

According to Sherman, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is even partially to blame for this situation.

“What pissed me off is when Kirk Cousins got his fully guaranteed deal, I thought quarterbacks from then on we’re gonna be like, ‘If it ain’t guaranteed, I ain’t taking it,’” Sherman said. “Then Mahomes took that B.S. deal — just 10 years and wanted it to look like half a [billion]. But if you get half of that, fully guaranteed, everybody’s happy. That sets precedent.
