The Kansas State Wildcats’ magical NCAA Tourney run came to a dramatic end as the Owls of FAU came out on top 79-73 in New York City. While K-State’s point guard Markquis Nowell turned in one of the most memorable individual performances in tournament history over the past week-plus, the Wildcats fell just six points short of a Final Four trip. Head coach Jerome Tang even did the unthinkable by visiting the FAU locker room after the loss.
Tang delivered a powerful and classy message to the FAU players after the hard fought game and many are giving him his flowers for such a selfless act.
