One of the unsung heroes of the 2022 Chief Super Bowl team was running back Jerick McKinnon, who became one of Mahomesโ€™ biggest threats out of the backfield. McKinnon racked up nine receiving touchdowns in 2022 but was only in KC on a one-year-deal. Now, receiver Kadarius Toney is making his case to get McKinnon back for another season.

While McKinnon will be 31 next month, he clearly still possesses the skillset to be a difference maker in the Chiefs backfield. The entire Chiefs receiving corps totaled 14 touchdowns on the season while McKinnon hauled in nine by himself. Former Chief Juan Thornhill is making a play to get Jerick to sign with Cleveland but Toney isnโ€™t having it.
