Kansas City Chiefs star defensive lineman Chris Jones has taken to Twitter and responded to a fan asking him not to sit out training camp.

Chris replied with, “I can….. I love you but I got a decade to go.”

Chris is thinking about the rest of his career and not just the 2019 season and after what we just saw in the NBA with Kevin Durant tearing his achilles right before free agency, can we really blame him? It sounds like Chris is willing to stick to his guns and skip training camp and he’s probably not happy with the Chiefs who just paid an outsider in Frank Clark, but haven’t taken care of him as of yet. Yahoo Sports’ Terez Paylor has said that the Chiefs want to get something done with Chris, but don’t want to overpay for one season of high level production as evidenced with what they decided to do in trading away Dee Ford this off-season. The Chiefs need Chris Jones in camp to learn this new defense under Steve Spagnuolo and to be hitting on all cylinders when the 2019 season begins, so it’s in both parties interest to come together and get this done sooner rather than later.

  1. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a colleague who had been doing a
little homework on this. And he actually bought me breakfast because I
stumbled upon it for him… lol. So let me reword this….
Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending time to discuss this subject here on your internet site.
