You knew Travis and Jason Kelce would have to address Travis being the recipient of the power bomb heard round the world last week on their “New Heights” podcast. In a highlight that has been shown time and again since last Thursday’s Chiefs/Chargers game, tight end Travis Kelce was thrown to the ground WWE style by Chargers safety Derwin James in the 4th quarter of the game.

As you might expect, Kelce handled the situation in a manor that only he could: with humor and grace. While no penalty was called on the play, James was later fined by the NFL for the vicious encounter.

“Well…it’s not my first time being power bombed.” Kelce said during the podcast. “He surprised the sh*t out of me, lower man always wins. I’m like, this is not about to end well for me right now.”

The Chiefs narrowly escaped with a victory in that Thursday night game and now will travel to Indianapolis to take on the 0-1-1 Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Chargers will look to bounce back from the loss to KC as they host the Jaguars on Sunday in L.A.
