Despite a tough season-opening loss to the Lions, the Chiefs were able to raise another Super Bowl banner prior to the game. Fans celebrated while the Super Bowl LVII banner was unveiled prior to the game. Patrick Mahomes was having none of it, however, as he has frequently stated that he’s moved on from that win and moved on to the next season.
“Anytime I lose, I’m embarrassed,” Mahomes explained after the loss. “I don’t even know if I looked at the banner. This is a whole new year and we’re trying to win another Super Bowl.”
