Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio ruffled a few feathers on Tuesday when he claimed that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is “getting the short end of the stick” when it comes to contract compensation. In this offseason alone, we’ve seen Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson sign bigger deals than Mahomes, who signed an extension back in 2020. Florio makes the point that Mahomes ranks 10th in the league in three year cashflow when compared to other QB’s in the league.
