It was a Patrick Mahomes-esq performance for Kansas State point guard Markquis Nowell on Thursday night as the Wildcats advanced to the Elite 8 with a 98-93 overtime win over Michigan State. Nowell powered through on a twisted ankle to set an NCAA Tournament record with 19 assists in the epic confrontation.

Late in the game, with the score tied, Nowell looked to the Kansas State bench and pretended to yell something at coach Jerome Tang. Nowell then threw a no-look ally oop to Keyontae Johnson to give the Cats the lead in what will go down as the play of the tournament so far.
