In a situation where the talking was certainly much louder than the play, the Chiefs were once again beaten by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chiefs were unable to get a late score to tie or take the lead and Burrow and the Bengals were able to run out the clock with a series of first downs. Chiefs safety Justin Reid had a particular unfortunate go of it out there as he and his teammates struggled to cover Bengals receivers all day long.
After the game, Reid walked back some of his comments from last week which eluded to he and the Chiefs locking down the Bengals. Reid clearly was unaware of who Hayden Hurst was and stated that he owed him more respect than what he gave.
