It’s very rare to see and hear a top-level athlete during their most vulnerable moment. A stunning video has surfaced from ESPN which shows Patrick Mahomes mic’d up as he re injured his ankle late in the first half of Super Bowl LVII. It’s an emotional roller coaster hearing Mahomes in obvious excruciating pain and then seeing his transition from vulnerable to saying that “I’ll be fine,” just moments later.
This video is a great reminder of the delicate balance in sports between hopelessness and the belief that you can overcome the odds to succeed.
