Multiple sources close to the Chiefs organization are indicating that Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill may be facing a lighter suspension than originally thought.
As recently reported by rotoworld.com, Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation believe that Hill’s 8-hour meeting with the NFL on Wednesday was deemed a successful one for Hill as he likely provided ample evidence to support his testimony. According to The Athletic’s Nate Taylor, Hill is likely to join the Chiefs for training camp in July with the likelihood of a four-game suspension (and possibly less) looming.
A Turn of Events
This would represent an almost unfathomable turn of events based off initial reports of Hill’s 3-year-old son suffering a broken arm and the subsequent audio recording of Hill threatening then-fiance Crystal Espinal. Since that time, Hill has cooperated with both the Chiefs and the NFL and has been adamant the he was not guilty of the broken arm.
Many fans and media members were quick to judge the situation and immediately demanded the Chiefs take action. The team did draft WR Mecole Hardman with their 2nd round draft pick, but merely suspended Hill from team activities until the situation became more clear, which was the right thing to do with the way things played out.
