(Inglewood, CA)- Sofi Stadium announced on Wednesday that the largest video board in sports is now complete. The 2.2 million pound video board is composed of 70,000 square feet of digital LED and is 120 yards long, or 1.2 times longer and 1.5 times wider than the field.
The video board has more than 260 speakers embedded into its structure and has the wattage strength to power 1,500 home theater systems.
“The Samsung LED technology represented in the video board at SoFi stadium is unlike anything fans have ever experienced.” Managing Director of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Jason Gannon said. “The design, as well as the board’s video and audio capabilities, are the first of their kind in sports and will set a new precedent for the in-stadium experience.”
The stadium will play host to both the L.A. Rams and L.A. Chargers beginning this season and will be known as a global sports and entertainment destination right in the heart of Los Angeles.
