The entire nation (or, those of us that just watch football no matter what) was in shock on Thursday night as Baker Mayfield led his brand new team to an improbable victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders had won four straight coming into the game while the Rams had lost six straight.
Baker Mayfield just joined the Rams this very week and already led the team to a victory. Mayfield led an improbable 98-yard drive which ended in a 26-yard touchdown pass to Van Jefferson to secure the 17-16 win. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed some love for Baker after the Rams win.
