It’s a horror story right out of “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” but legendary quarterback Joe Montana will now be known as a hero on and off the field.

According to TMZ, a woman entered Montana’s home through an unlocked door and attempted to take the baby grandchild of Montana and his wife Jennifer.

The woman was confronted by Joe and Jennifer and the couple allegedly wrestled the baby away from the intruder. The woman was later arrested on burglary and kidnapping charges. Montana took to Twitter to speak on the incident that occured this weekend.

Montana played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1992 before finishing his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1994. It’s an almost unfathomable situation to comprehend happening and it is very fortunate that no one was hurt and that the attempt was unsuccessful.
