The Chiefs hit a home run last night when selecting former K-State and Lees Summit product Felix Anudike-Uzomah in the first round of the NFL Draft. The native Kansascitian was on hand for the drafat at Union Station but made his way home to enjoy the moment with his friends and family. Not even 16 hours after being selected by his hometown team, Uzomah was at Children’s Mercy Hospital visiting with kids.

Uzomah was taken 31st overall, the final pick of round 1 much to the delight of many of the 100,000 or so in attendance at or around Union Station.
