The Chiefs have fallen to 1-2 on the season and clearly have issues with their WR corps. They could have avoided this by drafting D.K. Metcalf instead of Mecole Hardman. The Chiefs saw a need and a big, physical receiver instead of our very small unit. Josh Gordon is still only 30 years old, 6’3 225 lbs. and will give the Chiefs a different type of receiver and weapon in the redzone.
Josh is a big play receiver and has never averaged less than 12.6 yards per reception. In 2013, he had 1,646 yards receiving with 9 TD’s and yes that was a long time ago, but that’s the talent and potential he has. We will see how fast he can pick up the offense and get back in NFL shape, but this could be a big signing, literally and figuratively, as we make our way through the season! It’s okay Kansas City, we are giving you permission to be excited about this!
