The NFL playoffs are set to kick off this weekend. For 14 NFL teams, the goal of winning a championship looms large. For the rest, positioning for the draft or attempting to hire a new coach is first and foremost. According to Colts owner Jim Irsay, the team interviewed Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for its head coaching vacancy.

The Colts began the year with Frank Reich as head coach before firing him mid-season and going with Jeff Saturday for the remainder of the year. Bieniemy has long been in the running for head coaching positions around the league but has yet to find a home. He has been the Chiefs offensive coordinator since 2018 but on the staff since 2013.
