Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has still yet to report to work as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2023 season. Jones effectively held out of training camp this season in hopes of receiving a new contract extension. While the Chiefs believe they will eventually work out a deal, it’s been a distraction looming over the organization this offseason. Now, a bogus Gofundme account has been called out by the two-time Super Bowl champion.

Yes, a Gofundme account was started in the hopes of raising $10,000,000 dollars for the Chiefs to be able to “afford to pay Chris Jones” to play football this season. Jones took to Twitter to address this ridiculous situation.

There you have it, please do not support this Gofundme as Jones has nothing to do with this scam. The Chiefs are in hopes that Jones will, in fact, join the team in the near future to play under the final year of his $20 million dollar deal.
