The Chiefs rounded out it’s 53-man roster earlier this week which also meant adding key pieces to the practice squad. The additions included former Blue Springs South and Mizzou tight end Kendall Blanton, who played for the Super Bowl champion Rams a year ago.
Blanton played at Mizzou from 2014-2018 before joining the Rams as a free agent in 2019. While appearing mostly as a practice squad member, Blanton scored his first NFL TD in a divisional round playoff win over Tampa Bay last January before being released and briefly picked up by the Commanders.
