The Chiefs made their first big free agent splash late Monday evening with the signing of former Texans safety Justin Reid. Kansas City were able to snag the 25-year-old on a three-year-deal worth up to $31.5 million.

The move clearly excited Patrick Mahomes who re-tweeted Reid’s post which sated “Chiefs Kingdom!! Let’s Get to Work.” The signing of Justin Reid assures that Pro Bowl safety Tyrann Mathieu will play elsewhere in 2022.
