Last Sunday in the AFC divisional playoff game between the Bengals and Bills, one one team emerged with an ounce of bragging rights. The Bengals dominated the game bell to bell and displayed a fair amount of arrogance doing it. Bengals safety Eli Apple gained the attention of Bills DE Shaq Lawson after a Tweet he posted insinuating that the Bills can now head to Cancun after the loss.
Apple has largely been known as a lightning rod for controversy and many believed this Tweet had undertones of making fun of the Damar Hamlin situation.
This Tweet was seen by millions of fans and many Bills players including Lawson who promptly threatened to beat Eli Apple up.
