It’s now more than two weeks into training camp and there has been no sign of Chiefs DT Chris Jones. Jones is holding out as an ongoing contract negotiation continues with the Chiefs front office and Andy Reid does not seem too optimistic about seeing him anytime soon.
Reid was asked about Jones’ absence today after practice and his comments offer a bleak outlook on the situation as it currently stands. Reid eluded to the idea that if Jones is not in New Orleans for the Chiefs preseason game on Sunday then the holdout “could last longer than expected.”
