The Chiefs have revealed a plan for potentially using Travis Kelce during tonight’s season-opening game against the Lions. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, KC plans on putting Kelce through a workout this morning to test his hyperextended knee.

The plan is to put Kelce through the workout to test his pain level and to see how the knee reacts to light running. The injury occurred less than 48-hours ago, although no structural damage was found, there was certainly swelling involved. Kelce was listed as “questionable” on the team’s injury report on Wednesday so we’ll see if the 12-year veteran can give it a go tonight.
