As the Chiefs claimed their second Super Bowl title in four seasons, the sting of losing Tyreek Hill faded away forever. Now, it seems, after losing Hill, the team tried to trade for another high-profile receiver last offseason, but ultimately Philadelphia landed the services of A.J. Brown. Brown played for the Titans for three seasons before being traded to Philly and wound up with 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns this season in his new offense.
Brown was recently a guest on the “Raw Room” podcast and claimed that KC tried to swoop in and trade for him last year. All is well that ends well however as the Chiefs defeated Brown and the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII but it’s impossible not to respect Brown’s talent.
“Chiefs tried to get me, a couple other teams, Jets, but Philly made a strong push.”
