It didn’t take long for new Broncos coach Sean Payton to throw some shade at his main division rivals in Kansas City. In fact, at his introductory press conference, Payton made sure he took a shot at the Chiefs, a team the Broncos haven’t beaten since September of 2015. Sure, the Broncos haven’t even made the playoffs since 2015 but Payton is already poking the bear with his Super Bowl prediction.
“I’m picking the Eagles (in the Super bowl), Payton said. “We never want anyone in our division to win anything.”
Perhaps you’ve taken off a little too much time coach but the Chiefs, have in fact, already won a few things. All you’ll have to deal with in the AFC West is a Chiefs team that has won seven straight division titles, a Super Bowl and played in three Super Bowls overall.
