Chiefs players continue to garner accolades as KC running back Jerick McKinnon has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month. McKinnon led the NFL with nine touchdowns over the final six weeks of the season and recorded a touchdown in each game.
This is the first ever Offensive Player of the Month for McKinnon (30). His nine touchdown receptions this season are tied with Marshall Faulk, Chuck Foreman and Leroy Hoard for most receiving touchdowns by a running back in a regular season.
The Defensive Player of the Month award went to Ravens LB Roquan Smith while the Special Teams Player of the Month went to Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker.
