Patrick Mahomes breaking Drew Brees’ record for most total yards in a season was not the only record to fall on Saturday. The Chiefs pounded the Raiders 31-13 in route to claiming the one-seed in the AFC playoffs and linebacker Nick Bolton had 16 tackles in the contest. That was enough to give him the team record for tackles in a season with 180.

The previous record was held by Derrick Johnson who played with the team from 2005-2017 and tallied 179 tackles in 2011. KC

The Chiefs will not play next weekend in the playoffs and will await the lowest remaining seed. The opponent, very likely, will be the winner of the Chargers/Jaguars game which will take place next weekend in Jacksonville.
