Derek Carr has been benched by the Las Vegas Raiders so that they can avoid him getting hurt which would guarantee his 2023 salary. In doing so, they can essentially move on from Derek this off-season and look toward their future with whomever they tab as his heir apparent. Our sources close to the situation have told us that Derek has been aware of this eventuality and has already had his eyes on other potential destinations. We’re told that there is a level of mutual interest between him and the New Orleans Saints as head coach Dennis Allen was the one that drafted Derek to the Raiders in 2014. Derek also has his eyes on two other potential landing spots, those being the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Obviously, the Buccaneers are only an option if Tom Brady retires or changes teams.
