With a Super Bowl title, an NFL/Super Bowl MVP and a fat new 500 million dollar contract under his belt, it’s hard to imagine setting limitations on Chiefs wonderkind QB Patrick Mahomes.

5 Bold Patrick Mahomes Predictions

  1. Patrick Mahomes will reclaim the NFL MVP award. After throwing for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns as a rookie, a dislocated knee cap kept Mahomes out for 2 3/4 games in 2019. Second year QB Lamar Jackson took full advantage of this in route to becoming the unanimous MVP. With a full arsenal of weapons including a shiny new running back, Look for Mahomes to reclaim the MVP award once again.
  2. Mahomes’ stats will return to 2018 form. Clearly, this will go hand in hand with winning NFL MVP. After his passing TD’s were cut nearly in half from 18 to 19, look for Mahomes’ numbers to skyrocket in 2020. Hill, Kelce, Hardman, Robinson et. al return once again and the Chiefs added explosive running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire ( a position of weakness in 2018).
  3. Patrick Mahomes will win the NFL Man of the Year Award. Two years as a starter and Mahomes has already earned an NFL and Super Bowl MVP. He is setting his sights on becoming the NFL Man of the Year award and he’s going to win it. He’s quickly becoming one of the most important athletes in the world and his demeanor, attitude and leadership on and off the field makes him an obvious choice for the prestigious honor.
  4. The fastest QB to ever reach 14,000 yards passing will be…Patrick Mahomes. Sure, he needs about 4,600 yards passing this season to accomplish it but if all goes according to plan, Mahomes will reach this feat late in the season. Only three QB’s have ever thrown for 15,000 in their first four years which Patrick will accomplish by, at the latest, in 2021.
  5. Patrick Mahomes will go undefeated against Deshaun Watson, Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Lamar Jackson. The 2020 season will feature a myriad of can’t-miss QB battles and Mahomes will get a crack at the league’s best early and often. Mahomes and the Chiefs will have to display a herculean effort to win each of these games but the last two meetings with the Ravens have certainly gone the Chiefs way. Winning in Tampa and New Orleans will be difficult but will only add to the Mahomes legend when he reigns supreme in these matchups.
