This week, former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu returned to his alma mater LSU to re-engage with the program. Mathieu attended LSU football practice, sat in on meetings and even set up an endowment to help future student athletes.
Mathieu’s message to the LSU football players spoke to his own journey to success.
“Your focus should be where you’re going, not where we come from.” Mathieu said. “If you focus on your future and you take care of that, you will be able to turn around someday and bless more people that you can imagine.”
