Picking up the pieces. Perhaps the hardest thing to do following a tragedy. The community of Uvalde, TX has been searching for a way to heal from the horrific Robb Elementary school shooting that claimed 21 lives this past May. In Texas, football is a way of life and its positive energy has a way of uniting people in unbelievable ways.
The Uvalde Coyotes took the field to begin this season feeling the pressure of the community and the nation. The Houston Texans reached out to the football team and provided new uniforms for them this season and now it seems they may be getting a little help from someone above.
Senior captain Justyn Rendon has been wearing the #21 this year to honor those lost in the shooting. Through two weeks, Uvalde is 2-0…scoring 21 points in each game.
