We have made jokes all year long about silly fan fights in sports. There were dozens that occurred this year in the NFL alone. Unfortunately, there was no laughing matter in Mexico City this weekend as a soccer match turned in to an outlandish riot.
As you will see in the graphic videos below, a match between Atlas and Queretaro turned into a near warzone when fans began brawling in the stands. The melee eventually led to the field of play and into the streets outside the stadium. Dozens of people were critically wounded and unfortunately there have been fatalities reported.
