Perhaps it’s by pure happenstance that rookie WR Rashee Rice wound up in Kansas City. Or, perhaps, a fortuitous turn of events may have helped lead the way as Rice revealed on a recent interview with Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show. The KC rookie had nearly 1,000 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns in 2023 and became one of the focal points of a struggling offense.
Rice, who played at SMU, wound up at an offseason workout with his former QB (and then a member of the Kansas City Chiefs) Shane Buechele) and Patrick Mahomes wound up taking part in said workout and the rest, as they say, is history.
