Even after a very shaky first half, it was all smiles for the Chiefs following today’s 33-32 win over Cleveland in the final preseason game. While Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce sat this one out, Patrick was glad to offer his expertise during the broadcast. While chatting with Trent Green, Chiefs DB Dicaprio Bootle picked off a pass during Mahomes’ interview and his reaction was priceless.
Oh Doggone, there’s an interception,” Mahomes stated excitedly mid-sentence. “Hold up, I’m about to get ran over.”
The Chiefs will return to Arrowhead on September 7th as they host the Lions in the first game of the regular season. KC’s Super Bowl LVII banner will be unveiled prior to the game as the NFL season gets underway in Kansas City.
