While millions of people were watching and analyzing Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII halftime performance with a fine tooth comb, the Chiefs were in the locker room trying to get it together. The team was down by 10 points to the Eagles and it was time for leaders to step up and right the ship. Last year, famously, Bengals kicker Evan McPherson came out of the locker room early to watch Dr. Dre, Eminem and the rest of the performance. It sounds as if Chiefs coach Andy Reid was not having it this year.

On Monday, Patrick Mahomes was on Jimmy Kimmel Live and revealed that coach Reid was’t up for allowing anyone to go watch the show.

“Coach Reid told us, he said, ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking,'” Mahomes said, “‘because you’re not playing the rest of the game.'”
