It certainly wasn’t the best outing for a WR last night as Kadarius Toney’s drops and lack of production helped directly lead to a Chiefs season-opening loss against the Lions. Toney had a drop in the third quarter that led to a pick-six that helped Detroit get back in the game. After the loss, Patrick Mahomes was asked about Toney and his play in the game.
Ever the leader, Mahomes did not throw Toney under the bus, instead, offered show of support for his wide receiver.
