The Chiefs were able to hold off the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20 despite QB Patrick Mahomes suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter of the game. Chad Henne took over and led an improbable 98-yard drive to give the Chiefs a 17-7 lead. While Mahomes was still clearly gimpy, he returned in the third quarter to help KC advance to its fifth straight AFC Championship Game.

NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark caught up with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce after the win as Patrick admitted that he couldn’t move and that his teammates around him helped keep him going through the injury.
