The Chiefs did their part by dismantling the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-31 on Sunday Night Football this week. One play that is still fresh in the mind of Chiefs fans is Juan Thornhill’s personal foul penalty on Bucs receiver Mike Evens in the end zone late in the third quarter.
Thornhill spoke with reporters this week and claimed that the referee told him that he hit Evans in the head but knew for a fact that he did not.
“If I had that exact situation, I would do it again.” Thornhill explained. “I haven’t heard anything (about a fine) but I’m pretty sure the NFL’s not going to fine me because if they do, I’m pretty sure they’re going to be in the wrong.”
