The stakes for Sunday’s Chiefs/Bengals game may have gone to the next level following a Twitter beef between Chiefs safety Justin Reid and Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Yesterday, during an interview with KC media, Reid stated that he would “lock down” Bengals receiver Tee Higgins.
Reid will actually be covering tight end Hayden Hurst in all likelihood and Reid’s bold proclamation did not sit well with Chase, who went off on the Chiefs for 11 catches and 266 yards a season ago in Cincinnati. As you can see in the Tweets below, Chase suggested that the two “put some money on it.”
Chase went on to say in a video interview with Elise Jesse that he doesn’t think Reid watches film at all after his comments from Wednesday.
