Jalen Hurts may have came out on the losing end of Super Bowl LVII but he’s a classy competitor that has a lot of respect for Mahomes and Kansas City. Hurts was in town for the annual 101 Awards. This nationally-renowned event was initiated in 1969 by a group headed by Kansas City businessman Jack O. Wheeler to honor outstanding achievements in professional football.
Hurts was asked by Fox 4 reporter Harold Kuntz about fellow Texas native Patrick Mahomes and Hurts spoke very highly of the Super Bowl MVP.
“He’s always been a good player, always had a lot of respect for him.” Hurts said. “I always support any Texas kid, it’s a special bond.”
