Chris Jones is, indeed in Kansas City. The two-time Super Bowl champion has been holding out throughout the offseason as he looks to receive a contract extension from the Chiefs. Jones claimed on Wednesday that he’s here and ready to play should the Chiefs sign him to a new deal before tomorrow’s season-opener against the Lions.
Chris also reiterated to the media that he would like to be a Kansas City Chief for life and that he wouldn’t get in to his current contract dispute. Jones was on hand to take part in a partnership with the Ronald McDonald foundation. Chris did talk about potentially letting down his teammates by not reporting for duty.
