The Chiefs travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this Sunday with a sour taste left in their mouths from 2021. The Bengals beat KC twice, once in the regular season and again in the AFC Championship game. Last year, KC struggled to cover the Bengals talented receiving corps of Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and Ja’Maar Chase.
When asked about the talented group, Chiefs safety Justin Reid (who was not on the team in 2021) made a bold prediction about covering Higgins.
“They have 88..what’s his name? Higgins, it is Higgins.” Reid said with a smile. “I’m going to lock him down, straight up.”

Higgins currently leads the Bengals in receiving yards and catches (partly due to the injury to Ja’Marr Chase). Higgins just had three catches for 62 yards in the game last year at Cincinnati as Chase went off for 11 catches and 266 yards. The Chiefs defensive backfield, however, looked completely different with Tyrann Mathieu, Charvarious Ward and Daniel Sorenson all roaming in the secondary.
