The Golden State Warriors celebrated its first NBA championship in 40 years Tuesday night inside Quicken Loans Arena after knocking off the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-97 to take the best of seven series 4-2.
Despite a herculean effort from Cavs superstar Lebron James, the Warriors proved to be the better team over the course of the series and it was league MVP Stephen Curry who shined during the series’ deciding game as he finished with 25 points. Draymond Green added a triple-double as the Warriors got red hot from behind the three point line in the 4th quarter.
