Current NFL free agent Tyrann Mathieu has returned to his alma mater LSU to speak with the current team and to set up an endowment in his name at the school.
Mathieu, 29, played at LSU from 2010-2011 before being dismissed from the University. Mathieu has returned to the school and met with new head coach Brian Kelly and will speak to the team and attend practice/meetings.
In addition, the Pro Bowl safety is setting up an endowment at LSU in his name which will help future student athletes to earn a college degree.
Mathieu was looking for an extension with the Kansas City Chiefs but as talks fell through he was able to seek a deal elsewhere.
