The speculation surrounding Tyrann Mathieu’s future in Kansas City became more clear on Monday as the three-year Chiefs starter took to Twitter to give an emotional (potential) farewell.
Mathieu eludes to Sunday being his last game as a Kansas City Chief by saying “I leave with a grateful heart having got the chance to play for all you good people! Thanks.”
The Chiefs and Tyrann Mathieu have been working on a potential contract extension since last offseason but Mathieu speculated earlier this week that those who don’t want him back will be happy “sooner than later.”
