Royals catcher Salvador Pérez sported a Tom Brady jersey during batting practice prior to last night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays obviously acknowledging the Bucs Super Bowl win over the Chiefs back in February. Pérez had the jersey on as a result of a lost bet with former Royal and current Rays outfielder Brett Phillips.
The Royals Tweeted out a short video of Pérez donning the jersey last night before the game, but Salvy made sure to exclaim that “Patrick Mahomes is the best.” The Royals used the caption “Sometimes words speak louder than actions” in the Tweet and Tom Brady then replied with his own take on the situation.
