Have you seen this photo before? You should be saying yes. Derrick Marks is back and is up for another SOTN.

Welcome to the very first edition of “Stallions of the Night”!

This is an article that will be posted in the mornings that will allow you to see which players, from around the country, had great nights from the previous evening. After reading about each performance, it is up to you to decide who was the SOTN.

Without further ado………

  • CJ+Carter+Nebraska+Omaha+v+UNLV+1nTL2AEPwFnlC.J. Carter (Nebraska-Omaha) – The Senior guard of the Mavericks went nuts last night in his teams 84-89 loss to IUPUI. Carter had over half his teams points with 45 and also contributed 2 rebs, 2 assts, 2 stls, and 1 blk on the night. This was a very surprising night for Carter as he has not scored 45 points, combined, in his last 3 games (42).

  • boise-st-derrick-marksDerrick Marks (Boise State) – The Broncos had a huge road win yesterday, and Marks was a big reason why they pulled it off. Marks put up a solid stat line of 31 pts, 5 rebs, 2 asst, and 1 stl in the 69-59 win at New Mexico.Marks is no stranger to big games as he scored 28 in his previous game and  averages almost 19 points per game on the season. Do not be surprised to see Marks’ name on SOTN again.

  • 14884DavidLaury_original_crop_exactDavid Laury ( Iona) – Laury, a Senior for the Gaels, did his best to help his team to victory yesterday in a 74-78 loss to Canisius. He did a little bit of everything and had 29 pts, 6 rebs, 4 asst, and 3 blks, while also shooting 63% yesterday afternoon.  Laury is one of the leading scorers in the nation this season (21 ppg) and has scored at least 19 points in 6 straight games. I won’t, and you shouldn’t be either, surprised if he shows up on the SOTN list a few more times this season.

Now it is your turn. Leave your SOTN pick in the comments section below.
